The programme has:
- Provided hundreds of young people with their first jobs in community and environmental work.
- Continues to help young people to develop the skills they need to be at the forefront of a new green economy.
Combined with £2.2m funding from The Green Recovery Challenge Fund, Kickstart has created jobs for young people and unlock voluntary action on nature recovery and climate change by undertaking urgent work to protect and enhance parks and green spaces in communities.
‘The role really spoke out to me, because it was really varied and would provide me with lots of different experiences and the chance to gain new skills’
